Historical Background and Paint Scheme:

The Bf109A prototype first flew in 1935. The later E model, more powerful and better armed, was extensively used by 1940 in the offensive against Great Britain. The 109E proved competent in Poland, France, and the Low Countries but was outclassed by the RAF's Spitfire over England.
